New 2021 Staff
With 2021 right around the corner, we are eager to introduce you to some of our amazing new staff members!
Meet Millie Lawrence
Millie is from England. She currently attends school at Suffolk New College in Ipswich where she studies pâtisserie and confectionery courses. She speaks fluent French, and loves to bake, dance, and horse ride in her spare time. Millie has also worked at a bakery for two years where she makes all sorts of cakes and pastries and practices her skills. Millie runs her own YouTube channel where she posts fun cooking videos for people to watch and follow along with! At camp Millie will be our cooking specialist where she’ll make various goodies and fun snacks with all the campers. She is looking forward to meeting loads of new and great people and being a role model to the children and teaching them new skills.
Meet Michael Connolly
Meet Michael Connolly,
Michael is currently 18 (will be 19 for camp!) and lives in a small town near the city of Glasgow, Scotland. Michael attended Turnbull Highschool in Glasgow, however for the past 2 years he has been studying International Business and Spanish at the University of Strathclyde. Michael is a very sporty person who is always either at the gym or doing certain sports. He’s actually training to run the Paris marathon in 2021! He’s also constantly on the golf course trying to improve his skills. For summer 2021, Michael will be one of our amazing cabin counselors. He cannot wait to make the children’s experience the best it can possibly be. Michael looks forward to the whole experience at Camp Echo. He’s eager to meet his fellow staff members and all the campers that will attend Echo for the summer. He’s most excited for the chance to create fun-filled and unforgettable memories for both himself and the campers, being able to create friendships with everyone at Camp Echo will be something he will always remember.
Meet Tom Berrington,
Tom is 20 years old and from Stoke-on-Trent, Central England. He attended school and college in Newcastle-under-Lyme and went to the University of Derby to study Marketing and Media. He’s trained and worked as a UK National Citizen Service Counselor for two years in a row. He’s even designed multiple web games and has a background in computer science. As Camp Echo’s Art Specialist, Tom will be looking to develop fun robotics activities where kids can design, build and control their very own robots!
