Remember that while a summer at camp will be great fun, it’s a serious commitment on your part and ours. If you have any further questions about our camp, our program, our policies, or our application procedures, please ask! We want to help you make the best decision you can for a great summer!! To apply, follow these steps:

  • Complete the online application in full. Our CampMinder system will allow you to “Save” your application and return to it later on. Please know that our directors will not receive incomplete applications and we recommend completing the entire application process at the same time. Failure to disclose information can be cause for withdrawal of any offer of employment.

  • International Staff.  Camp Echo hires international staff through two different pathways: agency placements and direct placements. 

  • Many of our international staff apply through an agency like Camp America, IENA, AmeriCamp, Camp Leaders, BUNAC, Work Play USA, or Wildpacks. These agencies match applicants with camps, and we hire staff through their programs. We also search their databases for candidates and attend camp director fairs they host to meet potential staff in person.

  • We also accept direct placements (DPs). These are individuals who have not yet signed up with an agency but have reached out to us directly to find a position at camp. If accepted, they will eventually need to register with an agency to secure a visa for the summer, but they do not need to be with an agency at the time of applying. If you are thinking about working at Camp Echo, but haven't signed up with an agency yet, don't worry, you can still complete the application and talk to us before you need to do anything with an agency. In fact, we ENCOURAGE you to chat with us first! We can then guide you to the best agency for your needs! 

  • Camp Echo requires two forms of reference (to be completed by previous employees/teachers/coaches). The online application will ask you to enter your references and our directors will contact them, with your permission later on in the process.

Once we receive your application and references, we will be in touch to schedule an interview.
